February 2023 message from ACES
Hello Alpenglow Families,
As the days get longer and there is more light, we often find after Candlemas, that the focus begins to shift from this current school year into dreaming about next year. We are now busy recruiting next year’s Kindergarten cohort, and starting to consider recruitment for new members to join our ACES team at our AGM in May. We do currently have an open Fundraising Coordinator position. Take a look here to see what ACES is all about and let us know if you are interested in being a member of this amazing team.
As you most likely are aware, CRPS is hosting a Kindergarten Open House on Thursday Feb 9th at 7:00 pm. Whether you have a child coming into Kindergarten in the fall or are interested in more info, this evening offers an opportunity for parents to come and learn more about our innovative, experiential learning program. The evening will start with a short presentation by two of our Alpenglow teachers explaining more about the Alpenglow Literacy program. This will be followed by introductions to our teachers, a general overview of the Kindergarten program and an opportunity to explore our school. Read more about the evening here. If you know of anyone considering Alpenglow School, please pass on this info, or forward them to ask questions of either our principal, Chris Rogers or our ACES Administrative Assistant Maureen.
We hope you have some wonderful moments with your family and friends over the upcoming Family Week Feb 20th to 24th when there will be no school, and look forward to seeing you back after all of your adventures.
