We encourage you to read this week's Alpenglow Acorn to see our spotlight on recess. We've included a collection of photos that show what students are up to during this special unstructured time during their day.  The link to the video copy of the parent session on ADHD and Executive Functioning is also included along with information about Right from the Start and our Earth Day run for which we need volunteers to bake cookies or treats for our students and then others to supervise the actual event.  ​​​

The Alpenglow and CCHS School Councils are co hosting a session with our Indigenous Knowledge Keepers on May 13th from 5-6pm.  At this session our Knowledge Keepers from the Stoney Nakoda First Nation will share information on smudging, local animals, plants and the significance of the spring season.  In addition they will answer any questions families may have for them. Read the Acorn for more information on all these events and much more.

Happy New Year Alpenglow families!  Read our Alpenglow Acorn to find out about our School Annual Results Report - a draft version will be shared at the School Council meeting on Thursday and we encourage all families to have one representative either in person on online to have input and a 'first glance' at these important school measures.  ​
