March message from ACES
Hello Alpenglow Families,
March has arrived and cold temperatures seem to be lifting, bringing stunningly beautiful sunny days. These days remind us how grateful we all are to be living in such a gorgeous area. As the spring equinox approaches we will have the increasing pleasure of stronger sun rays and more daylight hours. With these temperatures changing, please send your child to school dressed weather-appropriately with lots of extras - this makes the school day more fun for everyone.
Our Kindergarten and Grades registration for the 2021-2022 school year continues, and again, if you know of anyone considering Alpenglow School next year, please forward them to ask questions of either our principal, Chris Rogers or Maureen.
Upcoming fundraisers and volunteer requests:
Lastly, parent-teacher conversations will be happening on the evenings of March 17th & 18th, as well as all day on March 19th, so no classes will happen this day. There will also be no classes during the weeks of March 29th and April 5th Spring Break.
Warmly,
ACES

Upcoming fundraisers and volunteer requests:
- In this newsletter you will see information on our newest fundraiser with Valbella Gourmet Food! They are offering an exclusive discount to members, friends and family of Alpenglow School! This feeds you, helps the school and supports one of our local businesses! See information in this newsletter for discount details.
- We are also looking for some help with our Spring Flower Fundraiser. Our delivery date has been set for May 5th (just in time for Mother's Day) and information on selling and purchasing flowers & plants will be out later this month, but we are looking for some helpers on the ground on delivery day. Email Maureen if you might be available to help.
- Two other fundraisers we have ongoing are our grocery cards and the bottle depot. Email Shelly to top up your grocery card order to account for the fixings needed to accompany your Valbella Gourmet Foods order, and remember to drop off any of your recycling empties to the Bottle Depot and let them know your want the refund to be donated to Alpenglow School.
- As spring draws nearer, so does our AGM in May and we will be looking for some new members of ACES to help guide our school into the next few years. The time commitment is a few hours a week and attendance at one meeting a month. You can take a look here for more information or email Maureen if this is something you might be interested in.
