March message from ACES
Hello Alpenglow Families,
March has arrived, and though the cold temperatures seem to be lingering, they are also bringing stunningly beautiful bluebird days. These days remind us how grateful we all are to be living in such a stunning area. With these temperatures so chilly, some of our outdoor activity sessions have had to be postponed or cancelled, so be sure to keep a keen eye on your child's teacher's emails to keep up to date. Also, please send your child to school dressed weather-appropriately with lots of warm layers - this makes the school day more fun for everyone.
Our Kindergarten and Grades registration for the 2019-2020 school year continues, and again, if you know of anyone considering Alpenglow School next year, please forward them to ask questions of either our principal, Chris Rogers or Maureen.
In this newsletter you will see that we have 2 handwork evenings planned. If you are interested in learning how to crochet or knit, save the dates in your calendar. These nights we will also welcome anyone who already has these skillsets - helping hands are always wonderful! You will also find an update on the Natural Playground project, and if you haven't had a chance to read the Nature Immersion information on our website, please take a few minutes to do so as it gives a clearer understanding on how these teachings are conducted at Alpenglow.
Looking ahead, Missing Links Sausage orders are due on March 11th. Please email Jolene for an order form if you do not already have one. Also, parent-teacher conversations will be happening on the evenings of March 20th & 21st, as well as all day on March 22nd, so no classes will happen this day. There will also be no classes during the weeks of April 8th and 15th for Spring Break
Lastly, the Spring Fever Family Dance is this weekend! Be sure to get your tickets soon, as last year sold out before the event. This night will be full of music, silent auction items, loads of family fun and is not to be missed! All proceeds benefit our school - we hope to see you there!
