February 2020 message from our ACES President,
Alexia McKinnon

February 14, 2020

Hello Alpenglow Families,

As the days get longer and there is more light, I often find after Candlemas, the focus begins to shift from this current school year into dreaming about next year.  ACES is now busy recruiting next year’s Kindergarten cohort, finalizing our 2020 – 2021 ACES budget and strategic plan, as well as beginning recruitment for new members to join our team.

We are currently in the middle our intensive 6 week communications and marketing push. We created a 4 part series of testimonials sharing “Why we Chose Alpenglow”, a Kindergarten Open House ad, as well as to advertise for our upcoming Ages and Stages talk to be delivered on March 4th . Our goal is to share the beauty and wonder of what makes our school unique and to attract new students and families to our program. We will also be sharing a press release of a new grant the Grade 5/6 class received to design an outdoor play structure for the Kindergarten class as part of their legacy project to the school.

I hope you enjoyed reading and sharing our “Why we choose Alpenglow” testimonials. We know word of mouth is the best advertising for our school to perspective families. Please do share your own stories of “Why you choose Alpenglow” with your friends and family within the community.
We would love to have yet another full cohort of students next year to continue to help our little school grow and mature and continue to thrive, and we need your help in sharing why our school is so special and a great place for our children to learn.  We understand what an important decision this is for families and we certainly hope the community we have created, the festivals and events we host, and the Waldorf inspired and Nature Immersion approach to learning is an environment in which children feel comfortable and supported to thrive.  Our Kindergarten Open House was a huge success and we do have a few more spaces available for next year.   If you know of anyone considering Alpenglow School, please forward them to ask questions of either our principal, Chris Rogers or our ACES Administrative Assistant Maureen.

Thank you for sharing your stories and being a part of Alpenglow.  On behalf of ACES we wish you all a fabulous Family Week and we look forward to seeing you back after all of your adventures.
